Does Stripe store customer data on my server?

Hello everybody.
Sorry for my ignorance … I have a question about credit card payments. In my e-commerce (made with Pinnacle theme) I have always used standard PayPal also for this payment method.
Now for credit card payment I am going to switch to Woocommerce PayPal Payments or Stripe.
In these cases, however, the insertion of credit card data takes place directly on the site.
I can’t understand if customers’ credit card data is being stored in my server and if so, what do you recommend to do to make my site safer and in compliance with GDPR?
