Ecommerce direction guidance

With in the next couple of days I will have completed the addition of my galleries for my site. ( *Login to see link ). I will be starting to add products to the site. I am hoping that you might have some suggestions, or guidance on what you think works best. I do have woo commerce installed. I am planning on in the future using a web service to keep my distributors on hand updated on my site. My first plan, unless you suggest otherwise is to set up my products categories, and then start adding products. I am not sure of the best layout that I should use. Thanks.
