editing page doesn't show up on published web page

Hi,
I have an issue with changes that I make to the home page through page editor, not showing on the published web page. The changes do however show through the ‘view page’ link after editing the page. Seems there are two pages, the view page within wordpress/cadence -pinnacle theme and the actual web page. The home slider option in pinnacle theme does reflect changes to the web page but that slider does not show through the ‘view page’ part of page editor.
