Explorer crashes when I try to open widgets

I don’t know if this is a wp question or kadence. I bought virtue premium. I have instantwp on my computer. I had purchased focus pro from studio press with the genisis framework and that was used first. Don’t know if that effects anything. I installed virtue and started playing around with it. I noticed that if I press customize button in dashboard that explorer crashes. Now I notice that if I go to appearance widgets explorer crashes. This make the whole thing unusable. I won’t be able to do anything.

As a side note; I spent 4 or 5 weeks last year building two wp sites. I know wp is free but I think I spent a couple of hundred on themes and plugins. After about 5 weeks I had two sites done and uploaded and working. But here is the catch they constantly break. And once they break you can’t or I can’t fix them. I mean how do you fix a site. I have no knowledge of the inner workings of all this stuff. I think that I wiped everything clean and started over 5 or 6 times. Now I am in the same position. I should wipe out all that I have done on this site and download wp again and start with a clean sheet. But that only lasts for a few weeks or so and then one day it will do something strange and break and then wipe it out and start over. I have not even got 4 hours into this site and all ready it is broken. I have not touched any of the code or anything like that just played with settings and getting the feel of it. I really don’t understand what makes this so popular.
