Featured images disappear after upgraded to virtue premium theme

hi team,
please help, i just upgraded the virtue basic to virtue premium.
however the Featured images in the published post (blog category) disappear after the upgrade.
what i did:
attempt_1: remove the featured image in a post and add it back, not working
attempt_2: create a new post and add a new image, still not working for new post
attempt_3: download a new image size : 5000 x 4000 pixels and set as featured image of the post, not working.
Please help urgently. thank you
