Font face Google Fonts slow

Hi,
My website is slow. I ran a test of the speed and Google Fonts was the culprit. I switched to a standard font Verdana in theme>typography, as well as for the site title and custom code in your advanced settings. The Google font lato is still showing. How do I remove @font-face Lato? Should I just replace below with Verdana?
