Hi there,

I’m trying to verify my site using the code snippet from Google. In previous posts, the answer has been to add the code to a widget in the footer, but doing this does not verify the site, Google is not seeing the code.

When I go to the header.php like instructed and place the code there, nothing happens. However the header.php file reads

<?php
/* empty */

How do I make this work as adding the code in a widget is not the answer.
