header layout and tag queries

Hi,
I have some questions for header/tag in the theme.
1. What is the recommended image size of logo so that I can use the logo layout option 2 and Option 4(Option 4 is with widget)
This is important since my logo is of not the correct size, it shrinks based on the layout I choose

How can I get the menu besides my logo(while using the standard with secondary menu or basic style with shrinked menu)
3. How can I avoid getting the tags displayed in the summary post ?I tried looking for all options but could not see the option to disable tags getting displayed in the post summary.Example.. Pls refer to the main page at secondrecipe.com. You will notice tags below each posts
