Home page just showing Slider

Hi
I have updated to virtue 1.9.9
And I noticed that my homepage is just showing the slider now, I added two more items to the homepage layout and clicked save to see if t would show them and the previous modules but to no avail. I have checked it on Chrome, Firefox and Opera.
Before the update the homepage was fine.
What did go wrong?
Any help will be very much appreciated.
