How to duplicate a portfolio item

Hi there- I’m using the portfolio to create a simple directory. Each portfolio item will have the same options (layout, image size, value descriptions, etc.). I’d like to create a “dummy” portfolio item that I could use as a template when entering new items (I did this when adding products to another site using your theme and it saved me a TON of time).
Is there a way to do this with portfolio items? I don’t see a “duplicate” option.
