Image carousel – unused slides wont deletebroken image

Hi, I am using the image carousel on my pinnacle home page.
I added in some extra slides that displayed fine, but now want to delete them. I can remove the image but not the slide, so it shows as a broken image in the carousel. However it only appears when using firefox. When l view the site in chrome its fine.

Whats the problem??
The display of some content on the home page is also not consistent between chrome and firefox
