Image Resizing Issues with Latest Blog Posts

Hello,
I am trying to optimize my homepage in order to raise my score with Google PageSpeed. I have been able to successfully resize and compress all of the images showing in my homepage, except for the 4 thumbnails which are automatically generated by the “Latest Blog Posts” module available within the “Home Layout” tab of Virtue Premium Bold/Theme Options. I’ve tried everything within my knowledge and capabilities, but with no success. No matter what I do, and regardless of how I resize and compress the feature images for these 4 blog posts, I still get a bad score because of these 4 thumbnails.
