Images not displaying or uploading

Hi – I cannot upload images into my wordpress blog as normal. I have done nothing differently. Also, images are not displaying on my website at all. My host’s technical support team says this is definitely a problem with my theme and not with wordpress (the images display when switched to a default wordpress theme). They advised me to contact you. I installed the latest version of wordpress earlier this week in case that is relevant. Please help. Maybe I should switch back to the earlier version of wordpress until you come up with an update?
