Insert non shopping cart item

Hello, I would like to display some non shopping cart content in my shopping cart area. For example, a row would have product 1, product 2, product 3 and then a blog post.
1. Is there a way to insert a blog post in like this?
2. If not, is there a way to hide the the shopping cart text on an individual product and then change where the Uriel goes?
