Issue with Kadence Slider – Could not find slider

Hey! I’m having a issue with the Kadence Premium Slider.
Default Premium Ascend install. WordPress 4.8 on a base child theme (no edits other than a few lines of html on the home page and I renamed the ascend.css file to cwd.css).
The slider is installed via Theme Plugins, updated and activated.
I’ve tried images and background videos. Both state “could not find slider” on the home page.
Any idea?
