Issue with Product Image Aspect Ratios…

Looked through the forum and I couldn’t find this being asked yet — So, the client I’m working with has product images that are both in portrait (3:4) and in landscape (4:3), and aren’t able to be cropped in such a way to get them all to be one or the other. The problem is when I set ‘product image aspect ratio’ in ‘shop settings’ to portrait or landscape, one or the other then cuts off part of the image for the other on the product page, enough so that part of the product itself is cut off. If I leave product image aspect ratio blank, the images are then squared and cut off part of the product on most of the pictures. I’m wondering if there’s a way to just disable that formatting and allow some product pages to have 4:3 images displayed, and others 3:4? Essentially, let the image aspect ratio for each product page be the aspect ratio of the image rather than force every image to display as one or the other. Hope this makes sense… thanks!
