Lightbox Product Pics in New Tab

Hello, I’d like to have my product pictures open full size in a new tab when I click the lightbox pic. Right now clicking a thumbnail opens up the lightbox, but then clicking the pic only advances to the next pic. Instead I’d like to have it open in a new tab so my customers can see the full size pic. I realize this can be done by right clicking etc. But my customers cannot seem to figure this out.
Is this possible?
