Limit Blog Entries On Home Page

Hello,
I have selected only 2 blog entries on the home page yet so far all four of them are showing up. Anyone else have this problem? Any idea on what I can do? I like having a few on the homepage because it adds to the store but having so many seems a bit distracting to me and if they are going to keep adding when I have say 6 or 7 it will definitely make my site look less like a store.
