Logo image path not editable

Having a problem with the logo image path field not being editable. When a logo image is uploaded, an absolute URL is inserted into the logo image field. The path is ‘http://’, which causes a “mixed content” error if your site is ‘https://’.
I was finally able to change the path by exporting the theme settings, replacing ‘http://’ to ‘https://’ for all of the logo image paths and importing the revised settings. However, this is kind of a pain to do it this way.
Is there a reason this field is not editable?
