Menu item only purpose to open sub-items

Hi there
In other themes I have been using (like Astra) I could create an menu item that only let me open sub menu items below. Like a menu item stating “courses”, and when clicking it you get sub menu with “Course 1”, “Course 2”, “Course 3”.
In Astra I used “Custom link, and no URL, but in Kandence Custom link requires a link.
How can I create a menu item that just opens a sub item?
I an rather new to this, so I hope someone can help me here
