Mobile menu not retracting with anchor links

Hi,
I have a mobile menu with three anchor links. When clicked, the screen jumps to the right place in the background, but the mobile menu does not retract.
When closing the menu it jumps back to the top of the screen again.
I see others have had similar issues with other themes in the past, but none of the solutions have been working for me.
Could you please let me know how to resolve?
