No Choice for Showing/Hiding Featured Image on Individual Posts

For some reason I do not have the option to choose if I want the featured image to show on individual post settings. It’s all or nothing. On some pages, I need the featured image only for when the post is shared or on the related posts widget, however, I do not need it to show on that post because it is not needed. Where is that option? What can I do?
