poor PageSpeed results

Hi,
i get very poor results when i run my site on google PageSpeed.
i use W3 but still the performance are very bad, the analysis show changes should be done in the css and in javascript

can you share best practice to handle the issues. if it require changes in .js or css files can you also share some best practice that will let me do upgrades in the future.
