portfolio in list mode

Hi,
I use both your themes a lot for my clients who need a portfolio side. It is versatile and I know how to make small customizations.
For a new client I need to have the all portfolio page as a list, no grid. More or less like your blog archive page with a landscape image and text at the right side.
How easy would it be to change the portfolio template to show items in list mode? Is there an easy way to achieve this.
Would appreciate your help/tips on the subject.
