Portfolio on mouse over effect

Hi,
i’m using your (fantastic) pinnacle theme, but i would like to remove the title showing on mouse over effect on portfolio images; i would like just the orange default effet, with no text displayed.
If possible, i’d like to remove that from the pinnacle:carousel widget too.
I have found this, but unfortunately seems not to be working on pinnacle, just virtue.
