Primary Menu Transparency

Hi i have read a few different posts and worked out some of this.
I want to make my primary menu transparent i have seen the css which makes it transparent when scrolling as i have the sticky menu applied however i want it transparent all the time.
I saw something about it cant be if the body background is white or something but didnt really understand.
im sure this a very simple quick change.
