Problem with staff grid layout; overlapping into footer

Hi, I have the following page set to Staff Grid:

1). As you can see, the bottom of the first row of staff members is spilling out of the content area, down into the footer.
The second row (only contains one entry so far) is entirely in the footer area.
2) I would also like the height of each staff row to be the same.(I understand that the excerpt length will effect the ability of the text to fill the vertical space when needed, but I would like the text background color (med blue) to at least extend down to even out the staff item height when needed.)
How can I fix these things? (the css I’ve tried has failed)
