Problems with Revolution slider

Hi,
I have 2 questions about Revolution slider:
1. Viewed on Chrome & Safari everything’s fine. In IE there’s on white space between slider image and Header. In Firefox the slider image is aligned left and there’s a huge white space on the left. How can I fix those?
2. I would like to have a site wide background colour for the revolution slider (same as the slider picture colour). Any tips?
