project summary option is missing

Hi there
I am using the Virtue theme (free). I want to set up a portfolio grid on my home page but the project summary option is missing from my admin setup page. I can see project layout, project options, values etc, but project summary is not there. So my portfolio page is defaulting to a slider which I don’t want. Help!! and thanks.
