Hi Ben
I am attempting to use the plugin Restocking Alerts by Bolder Elements.
The plugin aims to invite customers, when a product or the variant of a product is out of stock, to enter their email address and automatically receive a notification when the item is back in stock.
It is compatible with the latest version of WordPress and Woocommerce, which I am using.
The problem I have is that when you first land on a product page when no default variation is set, the plugin leaps to the conclusion that the product is out of stock. Upon choosing a variation, it correctly updates to remove the out of stock email form, but by then it is probably too late, since the customer will have left, disappointed.
This is incorrect behaviour – the form should not be shown until an out-of-stock variation is selected.
The plugin works correctly on the author’s demo site, and I tested it with the new Storefront theme from Woo, and it worked correctly.
Therefore there is a problem with Virtue and the plugin and it looks like Virtue must have modified some of the templates files containing the hooks the plugin uses.
Do you have any ideas how I can get around this problem? I’d love to be able to use the plugin.
Many thanks
Andrew
