Revolution Slider Width

I might be missing something. I need help with controlling the width of the Revolution slider.
I am working on a site using the Virtue Premium theme with a boxed layout. Items such as the logo image are 960px wide, and it looked like the site width might have been about 980 or 1000px before I set up the Revolution slider. Now, with the slider, the site width increases. There is gray space on either side of my slider images. The images are 960x400px.
I do not want this gray space, and I do not want the site’s width to grow (adding extra white space on the sides of the logo image).
Can you help me adjust this? I have not been able to figure out what is wrong.
