SEO for Shop page

Hi,
Sorry to be a bother again, but having questions on SEO work for the shop page. You already created custom function.php to add to my child theme that adds text and photos and links under the product categories. The question is, do these links show up in google to help SEO? Not sure how to explain it.
Here is a message from my seo guy to me. Hopefully this explains it better:
” I cant put test links
on the shop page at the moment without it being a bit of an eye sore. Need an answer of the developer re internal link structure. Does the page (the added functions.php)
shop page,, show the links in terms of SEO? Explain we would like a fluid internal linking structure to pages as well as categories using onpage links
