SEO option/background for part of homepage

Hi,
I have two questions:
1.The SEO option that is included in the theme has an option for metatags and meta description. Can you also set focus keywords?
2.I am not sure if this is possible at all, so please let me know: I would like to have a certain part of the homepage a different background than the other parts. I tried setting the background for all the rows and cells, but there are still some margings and I don’t know how to fill them. I would also like to have the background color have a pattern on top and at the bottom, so probably the :before and :after solution would be best, correct?
