shortcode blog excerpt length

Hi there I’m trying to shorten the blog excerpt length. I”m using the shortcode:
[blog_posts items=”2″ type=”grid” orderby=”date” word_count=”20″]
but it’s still displaying more than 20 words.
- The forum ‘Ascend Theme’ is closed to new topics and replies.
