Showing sub-menu items in a popup on mobile device

I am using the free Kadence theme.
When expanding a menu item on desktop, the sub-menu items are shown in a popup and the header stays the same height.
However when expanding the menu item on a mobile, the sub-menu items are shown inside the header itself, and the header height is increased.
Is there some way to control this and show the sub-menu items in a popup on mobile, same as on desktop ?
