Slider, Beneath Home Page Logo

Greetings:
How do I add a slide to the existing slider on my home page, just beneath my Home page logo.
I assume I’d access this through Theme options > Home Layout
However I am not sure whether this existing slider is a carousal or what…
Can you point me in the right direction?
I am adapting the existing template to my usage.
