Space Above and Below Header

My header looks good on Home page and on others pages. It is sizing correctly when I view it on the computer monitor. On the phone it is another matter altogether! When I set the header to Center Center, there is way too much white space above and below it on mobile devices. Is there a way I can eliminate this extra container space? If I adjust the header height to close the gap, then the header is teeny tiny when viewed on the computer monitor. http://www.gardenthymeblog.com
