Static Page Title

Hi all,
I am new to this theme so excuse my ignorance.
I have turned off ‘Show Page Title by Default’ and indeed it works except for the static home page.
The static page is called ‘Home’ and it displays at the top of the page – all the other pages do not show the page title.
Am I doing something wrong? Have I missed something?
