Stumped on Portfolio Summary Page

I’m trying to change the columns of the featured images from 5 to 3 on the Portfolio Summary Page. I thought it was in Theme Options > Portfolio Options, then finding Summary Category pages. When I select a column number, the columns don’t change and remain 5. Is there another area where I should be making this change.
And another question: How do you change the spacing between the featured images?
