Text Input Box Modification

Is there a CSS I can put in so that when I modify the appearance of the text input boxes, it would apply to all boxes, in all the pages that display
them (Contact, Search Bar, Leave a Comment on Blog, My Account, etc.).

Or would I need to put in individual codes for each to modifying below?

1. Change box border colour
2. Change box fill colour
3. Reduce the space, just by a bit, between the labels and their corresponding text input boxes.

Also wanted to do the following:
4. Remove the colon at the end of the labels in the CONTACT form.
5. Transform “Leave a Reply”, “Send Email” and “Submit Comment” to be all uppercase.
