Theme is Causing Spikes in Physical Memory Usage on hosting server

Hi,

I have been on the phone all day with Go Daddy – Any time I work on my website I am getting 503 errors that take my site down for an hour plus (the 503 error is due to spikes in the physical memory usage). At first I thought it was a hosting issue with GoDaddy, but today I learned that the only way to get the site back up is to kill what they are calling “zombie” processes. To troubleshoot where these processes are coming from, I deactivated all my plugins to try to see if it was plug in based or theme based. After deactivating the plugins, it then happened again, showing that it is likely theme based. I asked them for the specific processes they are having to kill in order to get the site back up and running and the only information I received from them was to do a SSH Kill Process (I received some steps on how to do this … they did not give me the actual processes that were being killed). Have you seen other people having issues with this and is there something I can do to resolve it? At this point, any time I work on my website it goes down. Please let me know if you need any more information from me to help troubleshoot.
