Unable to add image to right hand side of header

Hi there,
I’ve been trying different ways to add an image to the right hand side of the header and keep the main menu in place but have had no luck. I’ve tried to use the widget feature but this doesn’t seem to work as it doesn’t place it where I’d like it to go. I’ve tried adding background images (both in png and jpg formats) but this does something weird to the header (it changes the colour of my logo and theme in the header part & I think this has to do with it overlaying on top of the header?).
This is where I’d like the image to be placed (*Login to see link Could anyone please advise how I’d go about doing this.
