Uncaught TypeError: $.fn.appear.run is not a function

I’m using the Cooked recipe plugin with the latest Ascend Premium version 1.3.0. Single recipes work fine, but I just can’t get the recipe listing page to work. I see the following errors in the console:
Uncaught TypeError: $.fn.appear.run is not a function

It’s a private development environment so I can’t provide links.
Could you please point me in the right direction?
