unknown white block is covering almost all screen in editor

Hi!
As I started using gutenberg, some elements stopped working (instead of image galleries I now have empty space). So I started editing old pages and I encounter the same issue on them. At a certain point I get a white block covering the screen. I tried resizing images, moving elements, etc. The only thing that helps is closing settings, but then I cannot set up elements properly.
What can be causing it and how to remove it?
