Using Full Size Images

I would like to use the full size image as I have uploaded them in the Virtue Premium theme. I can see the originals in the upload folder, but they are not showing in the WP media library, only showing the scaled versions. I have changed the image size in WP Settings/Media, but with no effect.
Does the Virtue theme control the images sizes? If so, can I modify those settings?
