Video Dimensions in pages

Hi Ben,
I’m having a lot of trouble having control over videos that I add in pages within the content on the page. I’m using the ‘Feature’ template but every time I add a video it just automatically makes it full width. I’ve tried different plugins like ‘iframe’ (which only shows up an empty page for some reason instead of the youtube link as the source) and changing the dimensions within the embed and fve tags don’t register. Any help or advice would be very much appreciated.
