Visual editor freezing

Hello,
I’m having huge problems with the visual editor in pagebuilder. When I try to open a visual editor widget to edit its content, the window opens but never displays the content – it gets stuck on the circling wait timer. I’ve tried deleting the widget and creating a new one but am still having the same problem. Any ideas? All plugins and theme are up to date.
