Hi guys,

I’ve been adding some test products through WooCommerce and have got a few questions related to how things display on the product pages with Pinnacle:

1 – Related Products – At the bottom of the product page I get two lots of ‘Related’. I want to keep the Pinnacle one with the images and ‘Related Products’ title, but get rid of the first one which shows just a text link, the date, and the words ‘Similar Post’ as if it was a related blog post. I’ve been all through the settings but can’t find where to switch this off.

2 – Sharing Buttons – I’ve got the ‘Show Sharing Buttons’ ticked at the bottom of the Add Product page, but the buttons are not showing up on the product, although they do work fine on other pages and blog posts when I tick that box. Any idea why?

3 – Tabs Duplicate Title – Below the ‘Add to Basket’ button you get the Description and Additional Information tabs. The first lines in these tabs are ‘Product Description’ and ‘Additional Information’ respectively using a Heading style, so it’s just saying the same thing as the label on the tab and taking up space. I can’t find a way to switch this off in the theme, so is it possible to use CSS to take these lines out?

4 – Best Product Image Size – This is the thing I really need to get right. I’ve uploaded some test images in different resolutions (but the same jpeg quality, all downsized from the same intial 4mb photos) to see what looks best, but they all look the same to me and are rendered at the same size on screen. I’m using 4:3 resolutions as that’s the res that the camera takes them in, so I’ve tested from 800×600 up to 1366×1024. I’m trying to work out where the display size is inherited from so I can get the best balance of file size for speed and on-screen size.

In Theme Options –> Shop Settings –> Product Image Sizes you can set the aspect ratio. But in WooCommerce Setting –> Display –> Product Images you can specify exact sizes for the thumbnails etc. The Pinnacle settings seem to override the ‘Single Product Image’ but not the ‘Product Thumbmnails’, although I’m not sure where the ‘Catalog Images’ size is being used.

Would it be best to set these sizes in Woo –> Display to specific 4:3 ratios in pixels and turn the Pinnacle settings off for the best result? In Woo the Single Product Image is set to 600×600 with Hard Crop by default, should I set this to 1024×768 for example? Trying to get this right before I load hundreds of images on!
