Woocommerce Products – Can’t translate product gallery pictures

When deleting or changing pictures within the gallery of a product in the original language (=German) the picture still shows up in the English version.
The gallery_sync is set to „translate“
The WPML support told me, that the gallery pictures should be displayed like the product picture in the translation mask, but they aren’t. So I tried to delete them in the English version of the product: but there the pictures are signed with a „Locking-symbol“, so they can’t be deleted there.
