wrong font in spite of change in typography

I changed the typography of the body to Body Lettertype to ‘Bookman Old Style, serif’ in the theme options, but it’s not working. I still see another font, I think the default Lato or something..
On my home page, the blog excerpt text (scroll down) is in the correct font, but when you open a blog post, the fonts are wrong.
I enabled debugging and saw this warning message on my browser, which I suspect is related:
QMIGRATE: Migrate is installed with logging active, version 1.4.1
jquery-migrate.js:45 JQMIGRATE: jQuery.fn.load() is deprecated
jquery-migrate.js:47 console.trace()
I don’t know what it means though.
What can I do to fix this?
